Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician

At Surgery Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Emergency Medical Technician to join our team. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate Documentation: Prepare and submit prior authorizations with accurate supporting data, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate documentation and formulary needs with providers, ensuring seamless collaboration and patient care.
  • Patient Outcomes: Communicate outcomes with patients for all tasking and prior authorizations, providing clear and concise information.
  • Data Entry and Patient Care: Complete data entry for patient visits, room patients, and take vitals, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Message Processing: Work inbox, processing messages, taking appropriate action, and documenting outcomes, ensuring efficient communication.
  • Faxing and Record Management: Fax new patient records to referring doctors daily, review and ensure all first-visit paperwork is complete and present in the chart.
  • Compliance and Integrity: Exemplify compliance with all regulations and company policies, functioning independently with a high degree of integrity.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service while interacting with customers, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Insurance and Mail Orders: Accurately load insurance information into the computer, update information, and contact insurance carriers to resolve insurance rejections.
  • Special Projects and Training: Assist with mail orders, update office records, and participate in required training, taking on special projects as assigned.
  • Confidentiality and Recordkeeping: Maintain patients' confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, properly controlling the release of proprietary and confidential information.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • State Pharmacy Technician License: Must have a State Pharmacy Technician License in good standing.
  • Medical Terminology and Calculations: Understanding of medical terminology and calculations.
  • Insurance and Third-Party Payment Systems: Knowledge of insurance and third-party payment systems.
