Access Control Specialist - Competitive Salary
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Salary: Starting at $18.50/hour
Job Overview:
The Access Control Specialist is tasked with managing and responding to both routine and urgent service calls, overseeing alarm systems and surveillance equipment, including fire, access, and duress alarms, while offering assistance to employees, visitors, and corporate personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality security services to safeguard individuals and property.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with client staff and guests.
- Report any safety issues, security violations, or unusual occurrences.
- Welcome visitors and employees in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide information and assistance to visitors and employees.
- Adapt to a dynamic work environment and respond effectively to various situations.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm signals.
- Regulate access to the facility through the admission process.
- Document logs and reports as necessary.
- Conduct interior and exterior inspections of the premises as required.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, adapting to business needs.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Reliable communication and transportation methods.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Above-average computer skills and eagerness to learn new software.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Skilled in multitasking while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong decision-making skills in emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate clearly during emergencies.
- Effective interaction with all levels of management.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or some college education preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in customer service.
- At least 2 years of computer proficiency.
- 2 years of progressive work experience required.
