EVS Operations Manager

Job Summary

As an EVS Director at Crothall Healthcare, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department. This includes coordinating tasks with Assistant Directors and Operations Managers, serving as a liaison between administration and hospital departments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and recommend department operating budgets and ensure the department operates within budget.
  • Coordinate housekeeping activities with other departments and actively communicate with administration and other hospital departments.
  • Plan, prioritize, direct, coordinate, and supervise functions and activities of the department.
  • Establish work standards and workflow, and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Proactively achieve facility goals and objectives, and demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
  • Read, develop, and coordinate Total Quality Management processes, and develop and maintain job descriptions for department staff.
  • Encourage staff to participate in education programs and maintain a drug-free workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree and equal related experience required.
  • Three years of housekeeping management experience at a healthcare account required.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data, and general intuition for business.
  • Excellent social skills, high customer service and quality demeanor, and ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines.
  • Ability to apply a participative approach to leading staff, to organize and prioritize tasks, and to develop budgets with a complete understanding of facility needs and requirements.
  • Excellent stress leadership skills, administrative and interpersonal, and follow-through skills required.
  • Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
