Job Title: Production Supervisor

IKO Industries Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of roofing and building materials, with a strong commitment to quality, integrity, and trustworthiness. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our production operations at our new facility in Chester, South Carolina.

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the manufacture of IKO Mat Tech rolls, ensuring high standards for safety and quality. This role requires strong knowledge of high-speed manufacturing processes and the ability to engage and motivate employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide manufacturing leadership to fully engage employees and foster a productive work environment.
  • Promote a strong safety culture where employees believe that all injuries are preventable.
  • Investigate and prepare reports on safety near-misses, injuries, and workplace hazards.
  • Maintain adherence to Company and OSHA safety standards, conduct safety workplace inspections, and facilitate safety programs.
  • Ensure employees receive training on procedures relating to safety, quality, and production.
  • Conduct regular crew meetings to provide production employees with the information they need to do their jobs.
  • Work closely with other Supervisors to achieve plant SQDCP metrics.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Operate within standard operating and Quality procedures.
  • Work cooperatively with production and maintenance teams to identify and resolve production issues in an efficient manner.
Requirements:
  • 4-year degree in an Engineering field preferred or equivalent production leadership experience.
  • Experience, knowledge, or training in Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field.
  • High-speed manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience of 3-5 years.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation, and listening) and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of operational improvement through employee engagement.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office preferred.
  • Ability to grow and mentor talent.
