Job Summary
The Chief Academic Officer will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of academic policies, procedures, and programs that align with the university's strategic goals. This includes ensuring the quality and integrity of our academic offerings, as well as fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement academic policies and procedures that promote student success and institutional effectiveness.
- Lead the development of new academic programs and courses that meet the needs of our diverse student population.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure the quality and relevance of our academic offerings.
- Foster partnerships with industry leaders and other stakeholders to enhance the university's reputation and opportunities for students.
- Oversee the management of academic budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of university funds.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the Chief Academic Officer must possess:
- A doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as education or higher education administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in academic leadership, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful academic initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Benefits
Nexford University offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
