Cyfle is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Department Manager to lead our client's electrical engineering team in the Akron, OH area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the department's resources, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage department personnel and resources, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with project teams.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide mentoring, and determine training needs for department members.
  • Review and maintain department procedures, standard drawings, and software-based tools.
  • Lead electrical engineers on single or multi-discipline projects, directing the work of personnel and ensuring all standards are monitored.
  • Design and specify electrical systems, including transformers, motor control centers, switchgear, and power and control panels.
  • Perform basic power system equipment commissioning and start-up in the field.
  • Review supplier quotations and create bid tabulations.
  • Verify compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and industry-related training certification(s) preferred.
  • Ten (10) or more years working in at least three (3) of the following service areas: Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers/Resins compounding, and Manufacturing.
  • Fluent knowledge of all facets of industrial power systems, including project execution.
  • Thorough working knowledge of industrial power and lighting systems and industrial control systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit software.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 30, NFPA 497, NFPA 499, IEEE 1584, Building Codes, and NFPA70E.
