About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Management: Fill medication orders, charge/credit medications, stock, deliver, and inspect assigned areas.
  • IV Admixtures and Compounding: Prepare IV admixtures and other extemporaneous compounds, and enter TPN orders into the computer system.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels, reorder stock, and ensure accurate tracking of medications.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, nurses, and physicians, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations and achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1 year of hospital experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Board of Pharmacy in the state of practice required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in computer skills, effective verbal and written communication, and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
