The role of Building Engineer encompasses executing work orders, grounds upkeep, painting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks, and more. Key responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repair of facilities, systems, equipment, and grounds, as well as overseeing building operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on facilities, systems, equipment, and grounds.
  • Inspect and uphold building systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing.
  • Manage repairs, emergency maintenance, and maintenance documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify building systems including plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and roofs.
  • Oversee mechanics, technicians, and external contractors.
  • Respond to emergencies and maintain energy management initiatives.
  • Ensure lighting systems are operational and perform additional duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance.
  • Understanding of building systems operations, maintenance, and repair.
  • Appropriate licenses for relevant trades.
  • Proficiency in energy management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems.
  • Ability to provide general instructions, operate manual tools, and lift heavy equipment.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, customer service orientation, and capacity to work flexible hours.
