Position Overview

We are currently seeking a driven and customer-focused Supply Chain Operations Manager to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee logistics personnel and advise on the deployment and maintenance of IT and automated inventory management systems.
  • Formulate strategies and procedures to evaluate data, minimize surplus inventory, and optimize allowances and spare quantities for all assets.
  • Review and authorize standard and customized reports for management derived from logistics-related systems as necessary.
  • Guide and collaborate with Logistics Analysis on optimal methods to support supply activities for the requisition, receipt, storage, shipment, and distribution of parts, materials, and equipment essential for the development and operation of IT systems.
  • Conduct site evaluations to pinpoint issues and assist mission partners in determining necessary IT components for system implementation.
  • Engage with mission partners and collaborate with subject matter experts on the most suitable types and applications of advanced commercial items required for projects that facilitate comprehensive system development support.
  • Recruit, train, and retain skilled Logistics Analysts to ensure high-quality logistics management services.
  • Accountable for the quality of services and deliverables from the logistics team, ensuring seamless coordination of IT delivery between departure and arrival points.

This role may involve 20% to 30% travel, both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

Basic: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred: Familiarity with DLA-secure logistics processes, experience with DPAS, DAU Logistics Level I, and knowledge of air and ground freight regulations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Comprehensive understanding of transportation modes, geographical knowledge, and the ability to manage details effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain stationary for 50% of the time and occasionally move around the office to access files and equipment. Frequent communication with colleagues and management is necessary, which may include delivering presentations.

Clearance Requirements

Must possess a Secret clearance with TS eligibility.
