Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Unit Supervisor. This is a full-time position working evening shifts, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Manager in overseeing department operations, including shift operations, quality of care, staffing, program development, and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the Manager and QA representative to facilitate the interdisciplinary quality assurance program for nursing service delivery and overview of Quality and Safety initiatives.
  • Plan, assign, and monitor work of staff, including Kronos (timekeeping), scheduling, and supply maintenance.
  • Participate in supervisory duties, including hiring, salary review, competency assessments, staff development, and counseling of employees.
  • Consistently perform the essential functions of a Registered Nurse in the assigned patient care unit and assist the nursing staff with patient care as needed.
Requirements
  • Current RN license, as defined by the primary work state (Idaho or Oregon), issued prior to hire date.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing leadership and supervision, normally obtained through a bachelor's degree in nursing with three years of RN experience in acute care or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
