Responsible for providing visionary leadership and managing all aspects of departmental operations, including financial oversight, employee/patient satisfaction, employee/provider engagement/recruitment, and quality of care, while maintaining a Highly Reliable Organizational (HRO) safety focus.
Coordinates the operations of the hospital outpatient departments (HOPD) and CaroMont Medical Group (CMG), including leadership to the providers, clinical, and clerical staff, ensuring alignment with CaroMont Health and CMG guidelines, policies, and standard work practices.
Serves as a liaison between clinic providers and organizational leadership, fostering open communication and collaboration to drive excellence in patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive departmental growth and improvement
- Lead and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with organizational goals
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university majoring in nursing and at least three years of progressive nursing management experience in outpatient surgery or interventional pain management required
- OR Associate's degree in nursing with 4 years progressive nursing management experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state compact license)
- Thorough knowledge of general nursing principles, methods, and techniques
- Acute care and outpatient experience preferred
- Thorough ability to deal tactfully with patients, physicians, department heads, and patient's families
- Considerable ability to manage and motivate people
- Specialty certification preferred
- ACLS and BLS certification required
