Job Title: Registered Nurse for Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at CaroMont Health. As a CVICU RN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The CVICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to a group of assigned patients. This includes collaborating with the medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of specialty nursing principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the coordination of patient care and departmental activities consistent with the corporate, division, and departmental mission statement and values.
  • Render professional nursing care to a group of assigned patients.
  • Collaborate with the medical staff and other members of the healthcare team to provide quality patient care.
  • Perform all activities in accordance with approved policies and guidelines.
  • Supervise and delegate appropriate duties to ancillary personnel.
Requirements:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).
  • BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) must have two years progressive nursing experience in an acute hospital preferred with outstanding leadership skills documented.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) must have thorough knowledge of specialty nursing principles, methods, and technique.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) must be able to deal tactfully with staff, patients, physicians, ancillary professionals, and families.

Availability:

This position requires a 36-hour workweek with shifts available from 7a-7p or 7p-7a. The CVICU is a twenty-six (26) bed cardiovascular intensive care unit that specializes in the total care of the unstable patient requiring continuous intense observation, continuous oxygen and cardiac monitoring, non-invasive or mechanical ventilation, and/or advanced pharmacological therapy.
