Role Summary:
The Reliability and Maintainability Engineer plays a crucial role in the lifecycle management of complex systems. This position requires a collaborative approach to plan, design, and validate integrated system solutions that meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize modeling, simulation, and data analytics tools to conduct statistical and probabilistic analyses.
- Act as a technical expert, providing support to various design teams throughout the product development and support lifecycle.
- Assist in defining technical performance measures (TPMs) such as schedule reliability, operational availability, and maintenance costs.
Areas of Support Include:
- Design for Reliability & Safety: Validate and verify reliability requirements, allocate requirements to suppliers, and conduct failure modes and effects analysis.
- Engagement with suppliers, partners, and customers to ensure seamless integration and communication across teams.
- Collaboration with internal R&M Engineering teams and functional design areas to resolve technical challenges.
Qualifications:
Candidates typically possess a degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, along with relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with propulsion or aircraft systems.
- Background in reliability engineering.
- Familiarity with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
- Knowledge of Commercial Airplane Certification processes.
