Commercial Application Equipment Specialist

Objective:
To independently conduct intricate on-site diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance tasks on commercial customer application machinery. This role may require occasional guidance from the CAD Application Support Specialist and Commercial Sprayer Coordinator, while focusing exclusively on CAD machines.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prioritize year-round support for Commercial Application Services.

2. Schedule inspections, Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), and field visits in collaboration with the CAD Coordinator and CAD Team.

3. Complete work orders promptly and submit them to the associated location for invoicing.

4. Execute complex on-site diagnostics and repairs on application equipment and established Agricultural Management Solutions (AMS) products.

5. Travel within the assigned territory to connect with commercial operators and locations.

6. Develop and deliver training programs for staff on commercial application machinery, repair, and service.

7. Participate in mandatory Service EDUCATE Training programs.

8. Support customer clinics and events.

9. Review and clarify any maintenance, repair, or service issues directly with customers, documenting them on work orders.

10. Collaborate with the associated location to utilize shop space as necessary.

11. Promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers as needed.

12. Establish effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain appropriate seasonal parts inventory in the mobile service vehicle.

13. Stay updated on John Deere and Hagie applicators as well as competitive products.

14. Maintain the condition of the mobile service vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment.

15. Complete all required reports and forms related to work assignments.

16. Account for all time and materials utilized in the performance of assigned duties.

17. Serve as an Advanced or Master Service Technician as business needs dictate throughout the season.

18. Partner with customers to identify and utilize their facilities for servicing their machinery when necessary.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a Select Technician to provide after-hours support.

2. Minimum of four years of experience in service repairs.

3. Demonstrated expertise in Commercial Application equipment.

4. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.

5. Capability to perform intricate repairs and necessary maintenance using specialized tools and equipment, adhering to Technical Manual procedures.

6. In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and commercial application machinery.

7. Proficiency in using Service Advisor and basic computer functions.

8. Ability to operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.

9. Capacity to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.

10. Advanced or Master Service Technician certification is preferred.

11. High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required; an Associate degree is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

While executing job duties, the employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting are required, along with the ability to reach, stoop, kneel, and bend as necessary. Regular use of telephone and email for communication is essential.

Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
