Position Summary: The Robotics Automation Specialist plays a crucial role in collaborating with a team to design and integrate advanced robotic systems within injection molding production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and present comprehensive redesign plans, including innovative design concepts and associated project cost estimates for approval.
- Offer specialized knowledge in mechanical systems, electrical components, and programmable logic controllers.
- Create detailed Bills of Materials for the products, parts, and components necessary for successful automation design.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams on new tooling designs to create effective End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) for part extraction and related equipment.
- Lead the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and control of automation projects.
- Assess, analyze, troubleshoot, and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Oversee automation initiatives, including the layout of conveyor systems, camera setups, sorting mechanisms, inspection processes, and quality improvement automation.
