Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, General Ledger reconciliations, and account analysis.
  • Support the timely completion of quarterly reviews and year-end audit procedures, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Develop and manage department budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and systems, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Review and evaluate accounting policies and procedures, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Assist with financial analysis and forecasting, providing insights to support business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
  • Prior experience as an Accounting Manager or in a supervisory role, with a proven track record of leading and managing accounting teams.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, including task prioritization and time management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial software, including Sage Intacct, Peachtree, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
