Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Medical Oncology ICU team at the University of Washington Medical Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care, training and managing staff, spearheading quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring safe patient care practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain credibility as a leader of day-to-day operations
  • Oversee staffing and provide leadership for clinical and administrative functions
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain various work processes that ensure successful department function
  • Promote effective communication among staff and patients
  • Identify staff and resource problems and take necessary steps toward problem resolutions
Requirements
  • 2 years of current or ICU nursing experience
  • Previous charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experience
  • An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in ICU medical and or oncology nursing
