**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Concession Manager to join our team at Nordstrom in Cerritos, California. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operating a successful store, including customer service, profitability, operations, personnel development, and merchandise presentation.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Leadership and Development**: Assume a leadership role and develop a high-performing team to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • **Communication and Morale**: Foster effective communication and morale among team members to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • **Employee Retention and Development**: Emphasize employee retention and career development through training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • **Hiring and Training**: Interview, hire, and train new employees to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • **Performance Management**: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement disciplinary actions as needed.
  • **Sales and Merchandising**: Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • **Inventory Control**: Oversee inventory levels, manage stockroom operations, and maintain accurate records.
  • **Store Standards**: Ensure the store meets our high standards for appearance, cleanliness, and customer service.
  • **Price Changes and Errors**: Identify and communicate price changes and errors to corporate.
  • **Store Operations**: Participate in opening and closing procedures, manage office tasks, and oversee shipments.
  • **Adherence to Policies**: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

**Requirements**

  • **Education**: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • **Experience**: 5 years of experience in high-end retail, boutique, or sales, with a proven track record in retail management, including P&L management, staff supervision, scheduling, training, merchandising, inventory control, and payroll.
  • **Skills**: Proficient in Cegid transactions, familiar with UPS System, and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • **Personal Qualities**: Independent judgment, discretionary powers, strong communication and leadership skills, organized, self-starter, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
