Join our team of dedicated professionals as we seek a full-time, day-shift Inpatient Unit-Based Clinical Pharmacist, Neuro, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.

About the Role

  • Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and dispense medications using appropriate techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to health system policies and procedures.
  • Provide timely and concise responses to drug information requests from healthcare providers and patients.
  • Ensure continuity of pharmaceutical care across acute and ambulatory settings.
  • Participate in the established process for assessing, managing, and reporting Adverse Drug Events (ADEs).
  • Assume responsibility for adherence to medication-use policies and guidelines.
  • Manage time effectively to fulfill practice responsibilities.
  • Comply with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements for the practice setting.

Requirements:

  • Current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure.
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or 2 years of practice experience (preferred).
  • PGY-2 Pharmacy Practice Residency (preferred).
