Compensation:

$23 - $25 hourly

Key Responsibilities:

Document Drafting and Preparation:

  • Create wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, and other essential estate planning documents.
  • Prepare trust transfer deeds and related property transfer paperwork.

Client Engagement:

  • Conduct interviews with clients to collect necessary information for estate planning documents.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to provide updates and address inquiries.
  • Coordinate and schedule client meetings, including consultations and document signings.

Case Management:

  • Organize and maintain client files and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new clients, including data entry and initial document preparation.

Administrative Assistance:

  • Support attorneys with administrative duties such as scheduling, filing, and correspondence.
  • Oversee billing and invoicing for estate planning services.

Compliance and Quality Control:

  • Review documents for accuracy prior to finalization and client execution.
  • Assist in upholding compliance with firm policies and procedures.

Technology Proficiency:

  • Utilize the firm's case management software and client communication tools to manage and track cases.
  • Guide clients in using the firm's technology for virtual meetings and document management.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and proficiency in writing and grammar.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a legal environment.
  • Notary license is required.
  • Preference for candidates with a paralegal certification or advanced paralegal education.
  • Residency in the relevant area is necessary.
