About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic estate planning law firm. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients' peace of mind as they plan for their future.

As a Legal Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced attorneys to prepare and draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives. You will also be responsible for maintaining regular communication with clients, scheduling and coordinating client meetings, and managing the intake process for new clients.

Our ideal candidate will have great time-management skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a talent for writing and grammar. A minimum of 1 year of prior experience in a law firm environment is required, as well as a Notary license. A strong preference is given to candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, including scheduling and coordinating client meetings.
  • Manage the intake process for new clients, including data entry and initial document preparation.
  • Assist attorneys with administrative tasks, such as calendaring, filing, and correspondence.
  • Manage billing and invoicing for estate planning services.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of documents before finalization and client execution.
Requirements
  • 1+ year of experience in a law firm environment.
  • Notary license.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Talent for writing and grammar.
  • Paralegal professional certification or advanced paralegal education preferred.
