Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trust and Estate Law Specialist to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in providing expert support in the areas of trust and estate law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in the preparation and execution of wills, trusts, estates, and related documents.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on legal matters pertaining to trust and estate law.
  • Coordinate with clients, attorneys, and financial advisors to gather information and documentation necessary for estate planning and trust administration.
  • Review and interpret wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  • Assist in the administration of trusts and estates, including the preparation of probate documents, estate tax returns, and accountings.
  • Provide support in the area of succession planning, including the drafting of succession plans and related documents.
  • Maintain client files and records in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of current laws and regulations related to trust and estate law and succession planning.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in trust and estates law, specifically with succession planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field. A paralegal certification is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of trust and estates law, including wills, trusts, probate, estate tax, and succession planning.
  • Proficient in legal research and document drafting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
