RN Clinical Documentation Integrity Professional

**Job Description:**
The Clinical Documentation Specialist I is responsible for reviewing and improving the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records. This position requires strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills to identify and address any discrepancies or inconsistencies in documentation.
**Responsibilities Include:**
- Concurrent and retrospective review of patient medical records to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
- Collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify and correct any documentation issues.
- Ensuring that all relevant information, including diagnoses and treatments, is accurately recorded and documented in the patient's medical record.
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- At least 3 years of experience in inpatient nursing, preferably in critical care.
- South Carolina RN license.
**Preferred Skills and Experience:**
- Experience with 3M 360 computer-assisted coding application.
- CCDS certification from ACDIS or CDIP certification from AHIMA.
- Familiarity with ICD-10-CM, DRG, and HCPCS coding systems.
**Compensation:** Estimated salary range $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
