Are you a seasoned process engineer looking for a new challenge? Burns & McDonnell's Consumer Products team is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead piping design project teams and create world-class designs for various projects.

Our broad sub-segments include Personal Care, Beauty, Home Care, Nutraceuticals, Fine/Specialty Chemicals, Consumer Packaging, and Paper. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from soaps to detergents, and impact people worldwide.
Job DescriptionThe Senior Process Engineer will lead piping design project teams throughout the design and construction process, adapting process plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading process design of projects from conceptual phases through design completion.
- Preparing process chemical specifications and data sheets, Request for Qualifications (RFQ's), technical bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
- Reviewing equipment vendor drawings and collaborating with suppliers, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
- Participating in project schedule, scope, budget, staffing planning, and construction planning.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited program, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of process engineering experience, preferably in EPC projects.
- Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures, including process design codes (ASME, ANSI, API, PIP, NACE).
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and process simulation software (Hysys and/or Aspen, HTRI).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to lead execution of work, resolve issues, and manage change orders.
