Job Summary:

The Overnight Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and services during non-operating hours. This includes filling patient prescriptions, answering provider questions, and providing counseling on prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fills patient prescriptions and answers provider questions
  • Provides counseling on prescription and over-the-counter medications
  • Assists in medication ordering and maintenance of inventory controls
  • Conducts drug utilization reviews as needed
  • Manages rejected claims and troubleshoots third-party discrepancies
Requirements:
  • Current New York State Pharmacist license
  • Experience working in a pharmacy setting, highly preferred
  • Experience serving specialty populations, including transgendered patients, highly preferred
  • Typing and counting accuracy, keen attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
