Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as 401(k) and ESOP plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries and provide guidance on enrollment processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting of benefits data, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, in the company's HRIS or benefits management system.
  • Collaborate with benefits vendors to resolve issues and discrepancies, and maintain relationships with insurance carriers and retirement plan administrators.
  • Communicate benefits information to employees through various channels, including email, intranet, and in-person meetings.
  • Assist in the annual open enrollment process, ensuring clear communication and timely enrollment.
  • Reconcile and pay benefit bills, conduct quarterly audits of carrier websites, and maintain statistical data on premiums, claims, and costs.
  • Manage leave administration, including FMLA, work comp, STD, and other types of leave, by consulting with colleagues, managers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Cross-train in other HR and accounting areas as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as ACA, ERISA, and HIPAA, and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $62,000-$82,000 per year, based on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Mead Lumber offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
