Job Summary: As a key member of The Salvation Army team, the Family Services Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Family Services office at the Kahului Corps. This includes managing the administrative functions of the office, providing support to the Corps Officers, and ensuring the effective delivery of social services to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Family Services office, ensuring the efficient delivery of programs and services.
  • Schedule and conduct client interviews to determine eligibility for social services programs.
  • Oversee the food pantry, including scheduling food distribution days and times, and leading the distribution of food and commodities.
  • Assist the Corps Officers with Christmas Social Services programs, including the Angel Tree program, food and toy drives, and holiday community meals.
  • Work with families to identify youth eligible for TSA summer camps in Oahu, and oversee the application and transportation process.
  • Manage and implement the Back-to-School program, including the purchase and/or acquisition of supplies through GIK donation.
  • Manage employee payroll, including time exception reports and leave of absence forms.
  • Maintain employee and volunteer files, and process and submit Human Resource documents according to TSA policy.
  • Ensure employees and volunteers driving TSA vehicles are current with required annual training and MVR checks.

Requirements:

  • AA degree in social services or high school graduate with minimum 2 years' experience in the field of social service or similar.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Self-starter with ability to work and accomplish duties with minimal supervision.
