Facilities Project Coordinator

Axiom Consultants is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in facility project construction, project management, and facilities operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with site leadership to identify and recommend site improvement design, planning, and construction initiatives.
- Coordinate with NOAA/ONMS, PIR, staff, and contractors to ensure seamless site design and improvement work.
- Manage planning and contracting activities for multiple site improvements and investments.
- Identify and recommend service contractors for repair and construction work.
- Lead site efforts in identifying, reviewing, and negotiating bids for proposals and securing contractors for site improvements.
- Advise site leadership on needed changes to ensure the Kihei campus is safe, resilient, well-maintained, and clean.
- Coordinate repairs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical as required.
- Maintain and update site maintenance plans, schedules, records, and other documentation.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in a field supporting facility project planning and management, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facility project construction, project management, and facilities operations.
- Experience working in construction management in Hawaii and knowledge of government permitting and contractor requirements.
- Experience conducting basic construction, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and landscaping maintenance and repair.
- Additional experience with repaving projects and/or landscaping is a plus.
- Proven ability to assess facility problems and develop practical solutions.
- Ability to convey technical information to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large projects under tight timelines.
