Job Title: Wound Nurse RN

Nursing is what we do. At Cherrydale Health & Rehabilitation Center, we're seeking a Wound Nurse RN to join our team of dedicated professionals. Our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Arlington is a 21-bed facility that provides a warm and welcoming environment for our patients.

The primary purpose of this job position is to develop, implement, and supervise the day-to-day wound care program of the facility in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, procedures, and practices of this facility and the requirements of current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct care to patients and supervises and directs nursing staff in accordance with state, federal, and MFA guidelines.
  • Communicates patient status to the Unit Manager and DON.
  • Assists in the supervision, orientation, and training of the nursing staff. Participates in the patient care planning conference with other disciplines.
  • Identifies patient goals and approaches.
Job Qualifications:
  • Current license with Board of Nursing to practice as a Wound Nurse.
  • One (1) year of previous experience in the field of wound nursing. Previous long-term care experience is preferred. Wound care certification desirable.
  • Management/leadership experience preferred.
  • Requires frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, stooping, kneeling, etc.
