Treatment Wound Care Nurse in Long-Term Care Setting

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Treatment Wound Care Nurse to join our team at Summit LTC Management LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and following up on each resident's need for and result of treatments provided in the facility or a designated area. This role requires excellent communication skills to work with other licensed staff in assessing needs and results of staff action to ensure residents do not decrease their functional abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and follow up on each resident's need for and result of treatments provided in the facility or a designated area.
- Communicate with other licensed staff in assessing needs and results of staff action to ensure residents do not decrease their functional abilities.
- Assist the facility in providing education, assessment, and appropriate infection control programs.
- Work with the facility as a team member to ensure treatments are coordinated with other events of the day.
- Assist the Nursing Department in ensuring residents' care plans are followed.
- Document on records as per policy and procedures of the facility.
- Participate in staff meetings and in-services as required.
Requirements
- Must possess a current and active license to practice as an RN or LVN in this state.
- CPR certification required.
- One year of experience as a nurse in a skilled rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or Long-Term Care (LTC) environment preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
