Event Parking Attendant

Position Overview:
Engage in activities associated with traffic management operations in parking facilities, primarily during events. Responsible for executing traffic management protocols and ensuring the functionality of signage and payment stations. Duties may include site maintenance and waste removal. Regular interaction with the public and working in proximity to traffic is expected.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct traffic management and flagging tasks as required; adhere to safety regulations in all work zones and flagging locations, including the placement of signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices.
  • Safely manage vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow within designated work areas; responsibilities may vary based on specific job assignments.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment by removing trash and obstacles that hinder parking.
  • Load and unload vehicles containing necessary equipment (cones/signs/barricades) for operational needs.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with applicable company policies, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Effectively communicate any issues or concerns to the Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated customer service experience is essential.
Experience with cash handling and credit card transactions is required.

Skills Required:
  • Flexibility to work across multiple facility locations.
  • Ability to manage challenging and, at times, emotionally charged situations.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and understanding the English language.
  • Capacity to make independent decisions and maintain firmness in those decisions.

Physical Requirements:
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, wind, snow, and rain.
  • Able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 10 pounds.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
