Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Safety Initiatives: Manage the development and implementation of safety programs and policies to prevent injuries and illnesses in the workplace.
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to educate clients on safety best practices and ensure they have the necessary skills to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Industrial Hygiene: Conduct surveys and analyses to identify potential health hazards and develop strategies to control them.
  • Guidance and Support: Provide technical guidance and support to clients on safety-related issues, including the use of personal protective equipment and emergency response procedures.
  • Trending and Analysis: Analyze loss history data and risk rating maps to identify trends and develop recommendations to improve safety performance.
  • Business Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their safety needs and provide tailored solutions to meet those needs.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of occupational experience in safety or a related field.
  • Skills: Proven ability to negotiate and implement solutions for moderate to complex problems, proficient verbal and written communication skills, and analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Credentials: Certification by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) or similar is a plus.
