Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisory Personnel Psychologist to join our team at the US Secret Service. As a key member of our Human Resources Research and Assessment Division, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective human capital tools for personnel assessment, career/talent development, metrics, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and validation of HR assessment tools and related instruments for application to specific and general examining needs.
  • Direct and implement innovative techniques and business strategies to assess and improve organizational practices, policies, and procedures for increased effectiveness.
  • Review completed work for fulfillment of objectives, effect of advice, and impact on overall program.
  • Determine the effectiveness, accuracy, and completeness of research techniques, assessment development, validation, and structure of work related to the item-type taxonomies, statistical adequacy, and test theories.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Obtain and maintain a top secret Tier 5 clearance.
  • Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing while occupying the position.
Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must have a bachelor's or higher degree in psychology and one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level, performing duties such as:

  • Managing staff, providing guidance, and overseeing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance, and adherence to policies and best practices involving human capital assessment and development procedures.
  • Overseeing and directing the research, development, implementation, and management of effective human capital assessment and development tools.
  • Contributing to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality organizational and workforce solutions.
  • Executing best practices and services on all matters relating to the management of assessment and talent development tools.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable professional guidelines.
