About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Financial Services Specialist to join our team at Augusta Health. As a key member of our Patient Financial Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital and medical group's patient accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organizational Support: Provide administrative support to our hospital and medical group in the patient accounting role, ensuring accurate and timely billing and collection activities.
  • Cash Flow Optimization: Work closely with our team to optimize cash flow and resolve accounts receivable in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Departmental Goals: Actively support and contribute to the achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification through AAHAM, AAPC, HFMA, or other nationally recognized revenue cycle association is desired.
  • Experience and Skills: Medical or accounting experience desired. Excellent computer and communication skills, adaptability to change, problem-solving ability, strong time management, and experience with Microsoft Office products are essential.
