This position is responsible for maintaining the high standards of nursing care as defined by the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and Nursing's Social Policy Statement.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Administrative Nurse Manager to direct and coordinate patient and unit activities in an environment that supports excellence.
- Ensure the continued delivery of quality patient care, in compliance with Montefiore policies and standards.
- Participate in performance improvement and research activities, maintaining professional practice standards, and demonstrating leadership skills.
- Assist the interdisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of a select group of patients.
- Participate in educational activities related to the clinical specialty and occasionally participate in direct patient care.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Master of Science degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- American Nurses Credentialing Center Certification in Specialty Area preferred.
- Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
- Effective English communication skills written, oral and interpersonal.
