Position Overview:

Overlake Medical Center is actively looking for an Emergency Department Technician to join our dynamic Emergency Department. The ED Technician delivers direct patient care to individuals and their families under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This role may involve caring for patients across a range of age groups. Overlake's Emergency Department is a 40-bed Level III Trauma Center, serving as a critical support facility in the event of significant emergencies or regional crises.

This is a part-time role with benefits, including free parking, generous perks, and a tuition assistance program.
Work Schedule: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience. Candidates currently enrolled in a healthcare training program or possessing EMT credentials may also be considered.
  • Washington State Nursing Assistant - Certified (NA-C) is required, or Washington State Nursing Assistant Registered (NA-R) with EMT experience will be considered.
  • Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS) certification is required.
  • Washington State Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • A minimum of one year of recent experience in a healthcare environment involving patient interaction is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and EKG is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospital equipment and record-keeping practices.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
