Job Title: Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design of buildings, including performing engineering design for components and connections, 3D finite element modeling of components, and 3D modeling of structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team in the design of buildings, including performing engineering design for components and connections
  • Perform 3D finite element modeling of components and 3D modeling of structures
  • Manage project and project team to successful completion
  • Prepare documents in both CAD and BIM environments
Requirements:
  • BS in Architectural, Civil, or Structural Engineering, Masters preferred, or equivalent work- and industry-related experience
  • Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) in the state of Illinois
  • 7+ years of diverse project experience in the design of buildings with demonstrated professional growth
  • Experience in precast/prestressed concrete design a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced understanding of structural analysis/design fundamentals, 3D finite element analysis, diaphragm analysis and design, structural integrity requirements, current building and material codes
  • Commercially-available office software (Word, Excel, Adobe/Bluebeam, etc.)
  • 3D modeling and drafting software
  • Engineering software such as RAM suite, Risa, TEDDS, LEC Wall, etc.
