Position Title: Evening Custodial Associate

General Overview:

Under the supervision of the Janitorial Program Supervisor, the Evening Custodial Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in office spaces, public entrances, carpets, tiled surfaces, elevators, stairwells, and restrooms. This role requires a commitment to safety and efficiency in all cleaning tasks.

Supervision:

No supervisory responsibilities are associated with this position.

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of six months of experience in custodial services is preferred.

Employment Requirements:

Candidates must meet the clearance requirements as per Act 169. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Employees will be trained in specific areas as outlined by program policies and are expected to follow all safety and infection control procedures.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves moderate physical activity, including the ability to exert up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs. frequently. Candidates must be capable of bending, stooping, and reaching for extended periods while using cleaning equipment.

Health and Safety Considerations:

Employees may encounter occasional exposure to blood spills, communicable diseases, and various cleaning chemicals.

Work Environment:

The role is primarily based in an office or healthcare setting, with occasional outdoor maintenance tasks required.
