Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Support Coordinator (QASC) is responsible for overseeing the quality of services provided in 4-5 residential settings while directly managing Community Support Supervisors (CSS) and Lead Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).

The QASC ensures adherence to organizational standards, regulatory mandates from relevant authorities, and all established protocols. This role involves coaching, training, and mentoring team members to deliver exceptional, person-centered services while upholding the organization's core values.


Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Aligns actions with the organization's mission and values in all interactions with individuals supported, their families, and team members.
  • Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and specific program protocols.
  • Empowers team members to maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Collaborates with CSS, LDSPs, and DSPs to provide individualized support.
  • Facilitates the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.

Team Development:
  • Delivers and documents training for CSS and LDSP roles.
  • Participates in the recruitment process for new staff members.
  • Responds to team inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Engages in meetings, contributing ideas and ensuring compliance with organizational and union standards.
  • Monitors operational processes, oversees system utilization, and generates reports for accuracy.

Advocacy Efforts:
  • Encourages active participation of individuals in meaningful activities and advocates for their needs.
  • Promotes person-centered practices and proactively addresses service requirements.
  • Serves as the primary contact for emergencies outside of regular working hours.

Community Engagement:
  • Facilitates community involvement for individuals supported to foster relationships.
  • Ensures compliance with various standards and positively represents the organization within the community.

Position Requirements:

The QASC must embody the organization's mission and values, exhibit strong leadership capabilities, and provide guidance and training to team members. Adaptability, independence, and the ability to meet deadlines and guidelines are essential.


Education and Certification:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Certification/Licensure: Completion of required background checks.

Experience:
  • Prior experience in Direct Support roles.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience required.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Physical capabilities including sitting, lifting, carrying, walking, and driving.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and other specified requirements.

Compensation:

$24.50 per hour
