Role Overview:

The Culinary Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in assisting the Executive Chef with the daily management of kitchen operations and staff in the Chef's absence, while adhering to the Chef's directives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing food production and execution across various venues, including restaurants, catering, and special events.
  • Supervising and mentoring kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and service.
  • Enforcing portion control guidelines and maintaining inventory management.
  • Participating in the hiring process and conducting staff evaluations.
  • Managing food and labor costs effectively.
  • Facilitating regular team meetings and department head discussions.
  • Contributing to menu development and special food offerings.
  • Coordinating catering services, ensuring timely delivery and quality presentation of food at events.

Job Requirements:

  • A passion for pursuing a career in the culinary field.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Relevant culinary experience or formal education.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
  • Current Food Handlers certification.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Essential Functions:
