Key Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision to department staff and work as a hands-on leader to ensure department deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with Management to prioritize work from the production schedule and plan to ensure all work is completed on time.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members and hold weekly meetings to keep the team informed of safety and production guidelines and schedules.
- Ensure the overall quality of all materials and products that go through the fabrication department.
- Read and follow blueprints and hand sketches, and identify and utilize straps, shackles, rigging points, etc.
- Experience with basic hand tools and reference books, and must pass an open root 6G pipe test in Carbon and Stainless steel.
- Must have experience with the fabrication process including the use of equipment: Breakers, ironworkers. Plasma table experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Sandblasting/painting, and following instructions and performing other duties as assigned by Management.
- 3-5 years of fabrication experience and 2 years of previous supervisory experience in manufacturing, fabrication or related field required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical.
- May need to work at client sites.
- Must be able to delegate authority in an effective manner.
- Must have excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.
- You may be required to work overtime, weekends or holidays.
- Hourly pay in the range of: $40.00
