Job Summary

Border States Electric is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our Enterprise Account Managers, Account Managers, and sales staff to provide product management for assigned projects, meeting and exceeding sales and gross profit objectives.
  • Manage the flow of material from planning to project completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate databases and schedules, ensuring required specifications are met for all jobs in progress.
  • Actively participate in coordinating, analyzing, and acting upon customer needs, pricing, products, competition, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Perform material takeoff, develop quotations, and assist with negotiating with vendors for best pricing and delivery.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a business or trade degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of prior customer service, quotation, or sales experience, with strong knowledge of electrical products and utility systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product lines and applications, alternate product substitutes, and supplier pricing policies.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, Email, and SAP software.
Skills and Abilities
  • Technical ability to understand electrical systems and product applications, with prior electrical distribution experience preferred.
  • Technical ability to read specifications and drawings, highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, reading, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize, and work well on a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including being competent, accurate, responsive, and engaged.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of heavier items. The job also requires frequent standing, walking, and reaching, as well as occasional bending, stooping, and climbing stairs.
