Position Overview:

In light of our sustained success and as we prepare for further growth, Sage Dental is looking to hire a seasoned Procurement Specialist to operate from our warehouse. This role is fully onsite and entails a hands-on approach to a variety of procurement responsibilities essential for ensuring a steady supply of materials, equipment, and resources to our dental clinics and Support Center. The ideal candidate will exhibit meticulous attention to detail, thrive under pressure, and demonstrate exceptional organizational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure materials, supplies, and inventory items in accordance with established protocols and directives from management.
  • Manage orders for consumables and assist in overseeing inventory levels at clinics.
  • Coordinate the ordering of equipment repair items and liaise with external vendors for service calls related to maintenance and repairs of all equipment and facilities.
  • Monitor backorders, coordinate with suppliers for delivery, and keep the department manager informed of expected delivery timelines.
  • Conduct vendor research to identify the most cost-effective sources for supplies.
  • Regularly request both standard and new supplies and services from vendors.
  • Engage in negotiations with suppliers as required or directed by management regarding pricing of supplies.
  • Complete purchase orders utilizing designated software as necessary.
  • Perform data entry for purchase orders on computer systems and maintain accurate logbooks.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization standards in assigned work areas.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and utilize assigned safety equipment while performing duties.
  • Initiate contact with various contractors and dental clinics as part of procurement processes.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar procurement role.
  • Proficient in PC applications and capable of using software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to analyze data, resolve issues, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
