Job Description

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with Senior Doc, you will play a pivotal role in delivering mental health care to seniors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, evaluating mental health status, cognitive function, and behavioral concerns.
  • Developing and implementing personalized mental health care plans addressing conditions such as depression, anxiety, dementia, and other geriatric psychiatric disorders.
  • Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications while monitoring patients for side effects, interactions, and treatment efficacy.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.
  • Providing crisis intervention and mental health education for patients and their families.
  • Building trusting relationships with patients, families, and caregivers through empathy, active listening, and exceptional communication.
  • Documenting and monitoring progress to ensure the effectiveness of treatment plans.

Requirements

We are seeking a dual-license preferred Certified Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant with a passion for senior mental health care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
