Key Responsibilities- Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Register property guests, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of arrivals and departures.
- Room Assignments: Select and block rooms for arriving guests, preregister individuals or groups as required, and assist with escorting VIPs and return guests to their rooms.
- Guest Information Management: Maintain accurate and organized guest information, utilizing the property management system to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Transaction Processing: Process guest transactions, including making change, cashing checks, exchanging foreign currency, and posting charges/making adjustments to guest accounts.
- Reservations and Cancellations: Accept reservations, changes, and cancellations in the absence of reservations staff, promoting room upgrades and monitoring product to meet goals.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile transactions at the end of each shift, maintaining a balanced bank and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Guest Services: Assist individuals and groups with check-in, checkout, and room changes, working closely with bell and door staff to coordinate efficient luggage handling and follow up on guest requests.
- Communication and Teamwork: Maintain positive and professional communication with all staff, providing recognition and support to colleagues, and participating in meetings to learn about global programs and procedures.
- Guest Feedback and Resolution: Listen to guest comments, criticisms, and feedback, resolving issues using property procedures and ensuring a healthy and safe work environment for coworkers and guests.
- Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required, with a Secondary school degree preferred. Previous work experience in service for at least 2 years is preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Must obtain and maintain valid licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Communication and Language Skills: Ability to comprehend and use basic language, either written or spoken, to communicate information and ideas.
- Technical Skills: Strong command of software applications, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hotel-specific platforms (MICROS Opera, Sabre/SYNXIS, Delphi, SUN, etc.).
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand in place for the duration of the shift.
