As a key member of the Accounting team, the Accountant - Fixed Assets will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the Company's accounting records. This position will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records, supporting documentation, and financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US GAAP and be able to analyze financial data to support business decisions. Excellent project management and organizational skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively with the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries and related accounting analysis for moderate to complex accounting areas.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and participate in monthly closing.
  • Perform and document assigned internal controls.
  • Perform technical accounting research and apply accounting standards to business transactions.
  • Prepare memorandum to document and support accounting positions taken.
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial reports.
  • Perform financial analysis to support business decisions.
  • Assist in identifying areas of improvement and implementing enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in accounting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Ability to analyze issues, develop potential solutions, and communicate recommendations.
