About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Piano Technician Assistant to join our team at Ithaca College. As a Piano Technician Assistant, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in piano technology and apply complex instructions in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of pianos, including lifting and moving pianos as needed.
  • Develop and apply skills in piano technology, including mechanical and manual dexterity.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in piano technology.

Requirements:
  • Basic musical knowledge of the piano keyboard.
  • Good manual and mechanical dexterity.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive self-motivated approach to learning and development.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Students with Federal Work Study (FWS) eligibility.
