About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Piano Technician Assistant to join our team at Ithaca College. As a student employee, you will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills in piano technology and work closely with our experienced technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of pianos, including tuning, voicing, and action regulation.
  • Develop and apply complex instructions to solve technical problems.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • Basic musical knowledge of the piano keyboard.
  • Good manual and mechanical dexterity.
  • Proactive self-motivated approach to learning.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Students with Federal Work Study (FWS) eligibility.
