Exciting Opportunity for a Radiologic Imaging Specialist at MDPerm

MDPerm is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our esteemed team. As a leader in healthcare, we are committed to providing exceptional medical services and patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE RADIOLIGIC IMAGING SPECIALIST:
  • Completion of an accredited educational program or equivalent military training.
  • Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience within the last five (5) years as a certified Radiologic Imaging Specialist.
  • Possession of a valid Medical Radiologic Technologist license (can be obtained post-hire with proof of application).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen for access to necessary systems.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE RADIOLIGIC IMAGING SPECIALIST:
  • Conducts both routine and advanced imaging procedures, including virtual colonoscopy and multi-phase studies of various organs.
  • Initiates and configures scans, performing a diverse range of computerized tomographic examinations utilizing state-of-the-art technology.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in post-processing techniques, including 3D rendering and Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP).
  • Stays updated on current imaging methodologies and advancements in the field.
  • Collaborates with Radiologists and medical professionals to execute a variety of imaging studies, ensuring precise technical parameters are met.
  • Coordinates with fellow technologists for procedures requiring additional support.
  • Manages patient scheduling and preparation, providing necessary instructions and addressing any concerns.
  • Interprets laboratory results and assesses patient risk factors related to imaging procedures.
  • Prioritizes critical examinations and adjusts patient schedules accordingly.
  • Collects and reviews relevant medical histories to optimize examination processes.
  • Educates patients about the examination process, alleviating any apprehensions.
  • Ensures accurate patient positioning and adheres to safety protocols during imaging.
  • Monitors patients for any adverse reactions during procedures and responds appropriately.
  • Maintains comprehensive records in both Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
  • Communicates preliminary findings to Radiologists and medical staff, highlighting any urgent issues.

SCHEDULE:
Full-time position, 40 hours per week with night shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM.
