The Facilities Director at Church Unlimited will assist in the oversight of maintenance and operations of all church facilities, ensuring they are safe, welcoming, and fully functional to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Management: Assist in the oversight of maintenance, repair, and improvement of church buildings and grounds, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and church policies.
- Team Leadership: Assist in the leading and developing the facilities team, including custodians, maintenance staff, and volunteers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Budget Management: Assist in managing and developing the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and maintenance, and making recommendations for improvements.
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with church staff to support events and activities, ensuring facilities are prepared and set up as needed, and providing excellent customer service.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure high-quality work and cost-effective solutions.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and church policies, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
- Experienced Leader: Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a church or non-profit setting, with a track record of success in leading and developing teams.
- Organized and Strategic: Able to think, plan, and act strategically while managing multiple projects and priorities, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and external partners, with the ability to build strong relationships.
